Come see us!
We love new patients.
--COVID-19 UPDATE-- Due to our recent extended office closure, we are unable to accommodate new patients at this time. We deeply regret this and hope the situation improves later this year.If you are already scheduled for your first visit, please make sure to complete our New Patient Form before your appointment. Please do not complete the form if you have not yet been scheduled.
What to expect during your first visit
We typically reserve two hours for your first visit. During that time, Dr. Watson and his team will get to know you and understand your dental goals. If needed, the team will take an updated set of x-rays. They will also collect all of the information Dr. Watson needs to complete his comprehensive exam and diagnosis of your dental health.
What you will not experience is feeling rushed. Since we only see one patient at a time, the attention of the team is focused entirely on you. Dr. Watson will spend whatever time is needed to discuss your needs and expectations. If you have treatment needs, the doctor will clearly outline your options and help you understand the best course of action for your overall dental health.
From the first phone call to every appointment, the staff at Hawthorne Dental is incredibly helpful, caring, and informative every step of the way. I've learned more about my teeth and dental hygiene in the last two months with them that I have my entire life.

All of the staff is excellent. They make sure you're as comfortable as possible. They fully and clearly explain treatment options, listen and answer any questions you may have. I'm very happy with the level of service and care here, and that to me is priceless :)

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take my insurance?
Yes, we accept your insurance unless your carrier restricts who you can see (which is often the case with Oregon Health Plan or Kaiser Permanente). We work with most insurance providers, we gladly process your insurance claims, and we help you maximize your insurance benefits.
If your insurance plan is a Preferred Provider Option (PPO) and we’re not on the list, please contact us anyway and we’ll check your out-of-network benefits. Most patients discover that benefit levels are approximately the same whether your care is provided by an in or out-of-network provider.
What are your payment options?
We accept checks, cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards. We also offer financing through our financing partner, Care Credit. Care Credit offers many interest-free options and extended payment options with interest. If you need another option, please ask and we’ll see what we can provide.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! Uninsured patients are eligible for a 5% discount when paying by cash or check for visits over $400. We also offer a 5% senior discount for our patients who are 65 and over.
Can you just bill me later?
Sorry, no. As in many offices, payment is requested at the time of service. This not only allows us to pay our own bills, but it allows you to go home knowing that you’re all squared away. As a courtesy, if you have dental insurance, we will do our best to estimate what your insurance will cover, and will only ask you to pay your estimated portion on the day of service.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for 48 hours’ notice if you need to change or cancel an appointment. This allows us to contact other patients who may wish to be seen at that time. Appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to a $55 late cancellation fee.
